The urban morphology of Alcalá La Real has undergone a great transformation, with a considerable increase in multi-family housing to the detriment of the traditional single-family, which together with the heterogeneous building morphology of the urban fabric (topographic enclave), has generated a peculiar urban landscape in which the traditional and the new façades coexist.
Among them, a landscape of party walls treated against the extreme climatic conditions in winter, with economic solutions, austere and without aesthetic or plastic pretensions… a varied catalogue of solutions of different material, colour and texture, but highly expressive. And in it, the project arises.
The visual relationship with the strength of the Mota, with its orientation, with the topography of the site and a material relationship and need with the near, led this project to its result. Austere and functional, expressive and plastic, capable of shining or fading, born from there and so foreign to what is next.
