The dwelling delves into the relationships of the living rooms with the courtyard. An alternative route to the living spaces is established, an exterior route that runs over the development of the interior façade accompanying the itinerary of folds and turns that give shape to the project.
This route generates galleries and terraces around the patio, placing it in value in front of the mere free space of the plot, and allowing the relationship between the house and the patio to be more intense and bidirectional. The patio is not only a free space that allows ventilation and illumination of the interior of the house, but also becomes another room of the same as in the traditional patio house.
For all these reasons we allow ourselves to speak of a courtyard house and not of a house with a courtyard, giving a sense of authenticity to the term without renouncing a contemporary language.
